What is lazy thinking? So what is lazy thinking? Lazy thinking should not be confused with the kind of 'not thinking' associated with Zen meditation or with the Taoist 'Wu Weh' which is 'not doing' or effortless action. Lazy thinking is not any kind of new age cognitive fad, but something that has been around since the dawn of humankind. In fact, it is the kind of thinking that has allowed evil to gain traction amidst a docile and often fearful populace.
Welcome to Zen DeviceI have an ambitious agenda for this web site, which is to develop it as a resource and toolkit in the pursuit of truth and the crusade against lazy thinking. It is arguable that the 'pursuit of truth' and the 'crusade against lazy thinking' are interchangeable, or that at least, that in order to pursue the truth, one must seek to expose and destroy lazy thinking. It is tempting to enumerate the list of right-wing television and radio pundits such as Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, or Bill O'Reilley as the worst of lazy thinkers, but that would be wrong. |
